Motherboard on laptop fried, liquid spill. Purchased a replacement on eBay for fraction of the cost of a replacement laptop.
When you have a laptop torn apart, you always want to make sure will work before buttoning up! For this I simply connected power source, LCD screen and power button, indeed it works!

Have you ever spilled anything on your laptop? Coffee droplets perhaps? Over time, adds up…
Any sticky keys? Not the message that pops up when hit shift key 5 times (try it)
Any chicken finger crumbs in there?
Do you have all your keys? Ever tried to put one back on?
If you answered yes to any of these questions it may be time. Some folks may think a keyboard will last forever, but think about how much you type, and even frustration type? Most keyboards only last a couple years, and they aren’t that expensive to replace, makes a world of difference though, like a brand new laptop!
